This wonderful break, based in the mid-Devon market town of Tiverton, boasts three wonderful excursions taking in many of the fine features and attractions of the area. The market town of Bideford, the coastal resorts of Lyme Regis and Sidmouth, picturesque Lynton and Lynmouth, the enchanting Exmoor National Park, the picturebook village of Dunster, fascinating Quince Honey Farm, and beautiful RHS Rosemoor Garden, all feature in our programme, with visits to the historic cities of Bath and Salisbury on our outward & return journeys.

Day 1: We depart from our local boarding points, and head for the Southwest, stopping en-route in the city of Salisbury, situated on the River Avon, with its splendid early English cathedral, crowned by the tallest spire in Britain. After lunch, we continue our journey to Tiverton.
Day 2: Today we travel to the North Devon market town of Bideford, with its ancient 24-arched bridge spanning the River Torridge. Ample opportunity to explore the narrow streets, with their brightly coloured shops, and to visit the historic, covered Pannier Market and Butchers Row, before making our way to the town of Great Torrington, were we visit RHS Rosemoor an enchanting 65-acre garden, with both formal and informal planting, as well as woodland walks, water features and open spaces (admission extra, free for RHS members)
Day 3: After breakfast, we visit Dorset’s small, unspoilt fishing port of Lyme Regis, famous for its Cob harbour and the fossils found along its shore. Returning along the coast, we reach the East Devon seaside town of Sidmouth a quiet, unspoilt resort, full of character, boasting beautiful parks, beaches, small shops and a wealth of Regency architecture, all nestling beneath majestic red cliffs in the glorious Sid Valley.
Day 4: Following breakfast, we make our way to the picturesque Somerset village of Dunster with its 13th century castle, octagonal Yarn Market and 18th century watermill. Continuing on, we head across Exmoor, via Porlock, to the picturesque harbour village of Lynmouth, known as "Little Switzerland", which is connected to its twin town, Lynton, by remarkable water operated cliff railway dating from 1890. On our return to Tiverton, we make a stop at the Quince Honey Farm, to visit the shop, selling natural “bee” products, and take refreshment in the café.
Day 5: On leaving our hotel, we travel home via the Mendip Hills and the beautiful city of Bath, where hot springs, Roman Baths, a splendid Abbey & Georgian stone crescents have attracted visitors for centuries.
