Southwold & lunch in Delightful Dunwich - Thursday 11th July 2024 Today’s ever popular tour commences with a coffee stop at the welcoming Notcutts Garden Centre in Woodbridge. Continuing on, through rolling expanses of broom and heather, we reach the former Roman and Medieval port of Dunwich, where we enjoy lunch at Flora Tearooms, reputedly the best fish and chip restaurant in East Anglia. We spend the afternoon in the quiet, unspoilt, seaside resort of Southwold, with its picturesque greens, pretty cottages, 19th century lighthouse, pier and colourful beach huts. The Charming Chilterns & the Vicar of Dibley – Friday 26th July 2024 Our excursion today takes us through the peaceful woody lanes and picturesque towns and villages of the Buckinghamshire Chilterns. On leaving our local boarding points we head in a westerly direction towards Buckinghamshire, with a comfort break en-route. Our journey then takes us via Hemel Hempstead, Tring, Wendover & Princes Risborough, to the charming old market town of Thame where we stop for lunch. Continuing on, we reach Turville, an attractive village instantly recognisable as fictional “Dibley” and the location for Goodnight Mr. Tom & some Midsomer Murders!! Look out for the local windmill, which was used in the filming of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. We return via the National Trust Village of West Wycombe, Beaconsfield, the Quaker Village, Jordons, Amersham, with its collection of thatched cottages, Chesham & Bovington. Adult/S.C: £44
