Meet friends, old and new, on our lovely Christmas break, which this year takes us into the West Country, for five days in the mid-Devon market town of Tiverton. For your delight, in addition to the festive program provided by our hotel, we have arranged two excursions and, as usual there will be the opportunity to visit a local pantomime. A great hotel, convivial company and the usual Boon’s extras; we’re confident our 2024 seasonal celebration will be a winner.
Our venue is the welcoming, 3* standard, Crest Hotels Tiverton, which sits in two and a half acres of mature gardens, centrally located in the heart of Devon. The spacious, well-appointed en-suite accommodation is arranged over two floors, with a large number of ground floor bedrooms available. The light and modern restaurant serves an excellent selection of food. Please note: no lift to first floor (ground floor rooms available). There are five rooms with walk-in shower available. 23rd Dec: We depart from our local boarding points, and make our way to Tiverton, stopping en-route in Bradford-upon-Avon, a charming Wiltshire town with a wealth of architectural treasures and delightful, narrow streets. On arrival at our hotel, we enjoy welcome hot drinks and mince pies while porters take care of our luggage. We meet again for dinner, served in the restaurant. 24th Dec: Our excursion today takes us to the characterful resort of Sidmouth, which nestles beneath majestic red cliffs in the glorious Sid Valley, and boast pretty parks, beaches, interesting shops and a wealth of history. We return to our hotel via the city of Exeter, where we drop off those attending the optional Pantomime. We all meet again for our evening meal, served in the restaurant. Coach transport will be provided to midnight mass and coco and a mince pies will be served on our return.
25th Dec: Merry Christmas!!! Following breakfast, there will be time to relax and open presents or to attend church services (coach transport is not provided today). Our lovely Christmas lunch, with all the trimmings, will be served in the restaurant and there will be presents for all. This afternoon, enjoy tea/coffee and mince pies, while watching the Kings speech. This evening’s meal is buffet style.
26th Dec: After breakfast today, we take a drive out into the local area, returning to our hotel for a light lunch and a relaxing afternoon. This evening we enjoy a traditional Boxing Day meal in the restaurant.
27th Dec: We depart from our hotel soon after breakfast and make our way home. Our lunchtime stop will be Somerset’s popular Clarks Shopping Village, where there should be some bargains to be found in the Sales.
Includes: 4 nights dinner, bed & breakfast plus Christmas Day & Boxing Day lunch. All coach travel. Christmas package as described. Porterage. Christmas gift. Chocolates on the coach.
Note: This programme of meals and entertainment is based on the latest information available from the hotel; we reserve the right to make changes, as necessary, should the hotel amend their arrangements. In addition to the above, there will be in-house entertainment on at least two evenings and daytime activities.
