Boon’s Calibre Travel 2025 Christmas Markets, Blenheim Palace & Royal Windsor Departs Tuesday 2nd December 2025 for 3 days, half-board
New for 2025, we have a fabulous 3-day break to kick off the festive season in style…we start our tour with a visit to Royal Windsor, a wonderfully historic town, with extensive shopping areas, dominated by its magnificent castle. On our second day, we head for elegant Bath, a city transformed at Christmastime into a magical wonderland, with streets lined with twinkling chalets, selling a multitude of gifts and decorations. On our final day we travel through the pretty Cotswolds to Woodstock, for the highlight of our tour, a visit to Blenheim, Britain’s Greatest Palace, a masterpiece of Baroque architecture, a World Heritage Site, and birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill. Here the Palace’s State Rooms are beautifully decorated and the celebrated Christmas Market takes place in The Great Court.
Our base for our tour is the modern Leonardo, a stylish and comfortable 4* hotel, conveniently located just a short walk from Swindon town centre. The hotel boasts well-lit, spacious bedrooms, with en-suite bathrooms, and there is lift access to all floors. Meals are taken in the welcoming, stylish restaurant and for a relaxing after dinner drink there is a well-stocked bar.
Day 1: We depart from our local boarding points and make our way to Royal Windsor, with its multitude of attractions, dominated by magnificent Windsor Castle. Ample opportunity to explore this wonderfully historic town, beautifully decorated for Christmas, before we continue on to our hotel, arriving in good time for dinner.
Day 2: After breakfast today, we discover the magic of Bath Christmas Market. The city of Bath is a delightful place to visit at any time of year, however, on the lead up to Christmas, the picturesque streets are transformed into a magical, festive experience. Meander through the streets adorned with over 170 twinkling chalets and discover some of the best independent businesses that the South West has to offer…stylish homeware, handmade jewellery, personalised presents and much, much more. Ample time to explore, don’t forget to pick up a treat and a hot drink whilst ticking everything off your shopping list, before we return to our hotel for dinner
Day 3: We depart from our hotel after breakfast and travel through the pretty Cotswolds to Woodstock, for the highlight of our tour, a visit to Blenheim, Britain’s Greatest Palace, a masterpiece of Baroque architecture, a World Heritage site and birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill. Here the Palace’s elegant State Rooms are beautifully decorated (2025 theme yet to be decided – 2024 was Peter Pan) and the celebrated Christmas Market takes place in The Great Court. On leaving Blenheim, after a lovely few days away, and with all the Christmas present shopping completed, we return home to Essex.
