Historic St Albans on Market Day & Festive Van Hages – Wednesday 11th December 2024 Our first visit on today’s excursion is to Hertfordshire’s oldest town, the Roman city of St Albans, with its magnificent Abbey Church, dominating the skyline. This historic town boasts all the usual high street names, individual shops and a vibrant, award-winning open air market, dating back to the 9th century. We return via the fabulous Van Hage Garden Centre at Great Amwell, the group’s flagship site, with its beautifully landscaped car park and massive shopping space boasting a garden, home and festive experience like no other, with a unique and inspirational fashion department, as well as a new food hall and restaurant. New Year’s Day Proms at the Barbican - Wednesday 1st January 2025 Welcome in the New Year at London’s Barbican Concert Hall with a celebration of well-loved music from across Europe, greeting 2025 with a sumptuous afternoon of traditional favourites; this glittering concert is one way to ensure a fabulous start to the year. 3pm performance (includes ticket for concert). Chippenham Park Snowdrops & Scotsdales – Thursday 13th February 2025 Today’s circular tour takes us to the popular Scotsdales Garden Centre, where we have the opportunity for shopping and lunch. We spend the afternoon at award-winning Chippenham Park Gardens, nr Ely, admiring what is reputedly the greatest display of delicate and naturalised snowdrops and aconites in East Anglia (admission included). The Chippenham tea room will be open, serving delicious food and drinks. Adult/S.C: £48 (Not B & S)
