For Christmas 2026, we have booked the lovely Thatchers Hotel, a charming Tudor-style property, in the heart of Surrey. For your pleasure, the hotel, have arranged an enjoyable programme of festive food and entertainment, and, as usual, we will be looking after you throughout the tour. A chance to meet up with old friends, make some new ones, and enjoy the festivities…we hope you can join us.
Our venue for Christmas 2026 is the Thatchers, a charming Tudor-style property set in the heart of the Surrey countryside. This recently refurbished hotel sits within its own lush gardens and boasts stylish, well-appointed en-suite bedrooms. The Thatchers Bar & Restaurant, with its cosy ambiance, boasts panoramic views of the grounds and provides the perfect backdrop for a delightful dining experience. There are ground floor bedrooms, walk-in showers and the hotel has a lift.
Day 1 (Christmas Eve): We depart from our local boarding points and make our way to Royal Windsor, dominated by its magnificent Castle. Ample opportunity to explore this wonderfully historic town, beautifully decorated for Christmas, before we continue on to our hotel, where we arrive mid-afternoon, to be greeted with tea/coffee cake and biscuits. After settling into our bedrooms, we meet again for drinks, prior to dinner in the restaurant. This evening, we enjoy in-house entertainment, before departing for midnight mass. On our return there will be hot drinks and mince pies waiting.
Day 2: (Christmas Day): Our Christmas Day begins with a hearty breakfast and a glass of Bucks Fizz!! Time to relax in our lovely hotel, or attend Christmas Day Church Services (transport not provided), before we all meet again for pre-dinner drinks and our sumptuous Christmas Day lunch, with presents for all. This afternoon, we gather together to watch the Kings Speech. Dinner this evening will be a delicious hot and cold finger buffet. An entertaining Quiz takes us up to bedtime.
Day 3: (Boxing Day): Following a leisurely breakfast today we depart for an excursion around the local area. This evening’s dinner, served in the restaurant, is accompanied by a glass of wine, and entertainment rounds off the day.
Day 4: After another lovely breakfast we bid farewell to the Thatchers and make our way home. The popular Polhill Garden Centre & Shopping Village, is our lunch stop today, where can check out the bargains before returning back to Essex, arriving mid/late afternoon.
Includes: 3 nights half-board (bed, breakfast & evening meal) in en-suite bedrooms, porterage, ground floor bedrooms, lift, walk-in showers, 1 excursion. Visits on outward & return journeys. Christmas Day lunch, in-house entertainment, welcome refreshments, midnight mass & refreshments, drinks with meals, Christmas gift.
